My List Of 10 Foods To Help You Age Beautifully
Berries
Blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries are rich in antioxidant compounds known as Anthocyanins, which slow the growth of certain cancers as well as improve brain function, muscle tone, and balance.
Olive Oil
Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory monounsaturated fat, olive oil figures prominently in the Mediterranean diet. It may explain the lower rates of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and age-related cognitive decline in people who keep to that particular diet.
Greens
Greens contain folate, calcium, and other nutrients that support bone health, protect against cognitive decline, and help prevent age-related eye problems. Diets high in cruciferous veggies, such as broccoli and cabbage, help to keep us feeling fuller longer, and also reduce the risk of many types of cancer.
Tomatoes
Certain red fruits — including tomatoes — contain lycopene, an antioxidant compound that helps maintain youthful skin texture and may reduce the risk of some types of cancer and heart disease.

Simple methods.
Spectacular results.
Nuts
Varieties such as almonds and walnuts contain a generous helping of healthy fats, vitamins, and protein that benefit cardiovascular and brain health. Nuts are also high in compounds that ease inflammation.
Herbs and Spices ( Yes, they also fall into the “food” category!)
Spices such as turmeric and ginger contain anti-inflammatory compounds that keep your skin glowingly healthy, help your body fight off sickness by way of strengthening your immune system.
Cinnamon should be added to your diet as much as possible, I myself add it to coffee, tea and yogurt, as it helps your body maintain healthy sugar levels that in turn helps maintain a healthy balance of bacteria. You’ll see fewer breakouts and fewer yeast infections as a result.
Further in this category, the powerful antioxidant substances in garlic and onions can protect also against heart disease, and remember, if your heart functions properly circulation flows more freely throughout your body – including to your skin – giving you head to toe benefits.
Whole Grains
Rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, whole grains can lower the risk of age-related illnesses such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. Because they’re digested more slowly than processed grains, they also help prevent high blood sugar and diabetes.
Red Grapes
These grapes contain an antioxidant called Resveratrol, which has been shown to extend the lives of lab animals. Resveratrol has anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant properties, which may explain why red wine and purple grape juice also helps promote heart health.
Fish
An important part of both the Japanese and the Mediterranean diets – which any of you who follow my work and/or have been one of my wellness clients know how much I admire both of those cultures – oily fish provide omega-3 fatty acids that help combat inflammation in the body.
Tea
Of the various types of tea, white and green tea contain the most EGCG, which is one of the most powerful antioxidants. Numerous studies have linked tea consumption to lower rates of conditions such as heart disease, cancer, and obesity. So it’s good all the way around.
Enjoy a deliciously diet!

Tomatoes need to be in my diet every day. I love them so that one is easy. The spices are great too.

Tea is something I know about but don’t drink enough. I need to change that. Iced tea needs to be my go to beverage anyway. I drink way too much of the fizzy stuff.
