Cindy Crawford Bikini Shot ROCKS – So Does Mine!

This is a rant.  Yup.  I am pretty stoked about this.

Are they kidding?

Honestly, I have come to the point of seeing the out and out B.S. that is posted online.  Really.  Yes I have been on the web a long time alright, and I have seen a lot, but this is getting ridiculous.

This week Cindy Crawford, who is one of my favs and always will be, posted a bikini shot on Instagram.  She looks beautiful.  As much as ever, even though she is so freakin’ humble about it that she usually makes some kind of self-criticizing comment about her looks.  Well, you may already know that some idiots posted ageist remarks and, let me also tell you, I would love love LOVE to see those people in bikinis.  Or speedos.  Whatever applies.  But, bullies have no guts.  Or balls.  Again whatever.

I’m steamed.

I’ve always been the nice-nice girl. Hesitated to post negative reviews even when I hated the stupid products.  I always figured it made more sense to tell everyone about what works than what doesn’t.  And, I don’t like to publish negative comments.  It just isn’t who I am.  But right now I’m stepping outside the box and I’m stepping up for what I know to be true.

OMG I’m 60 here!

Age makes no damn difference at all.

It does not.  I’m 62 and I’m younger than I was 20 years ago.  I’m more energetic and have a better attitude, especially about myself and body image, and, I’m much much more confident.  All the years of post meno and then full blown meno are behind me.  Thank God.  And I’m holding my head up very high with more pride than ever.  So yes age makes no difference – except to make us better all the way around if we allow it to happen.

Interestingly enough as well is that I notice I turn more heads now than I did at 40.  Hmmm. According to the low-class crowd on Instagram who slammed Cindy that isn’t supposed to happen.  Ha!

One big thing that stops us.

These damn articles. Because people we know are going to be talking about it.  If you are over 40 you remember Cindy Crawford back in the day and so does everyone you know of your own age or so.  All it takes is one brainless, spineless clown online to get the ball rolling and people everywhere are so very ready to slam an older woman who has the solid brass to not only wear a bikini but damn well rock it.  Imagine the nerve of such a woman??? Really??

How to fight this krap.

Be yourself.  Smile.  Don’t just say “age is irrelevant”-  LIVE IT!  Do what you want.  Go after what you want.  Never stop chasing that dream no matter how many fools point at you and throw their insults.  They’re like Lemmings following each other.  No.  Scratch that.  It’s much worse. They’re like the freakin’ Walking Dead!

May 2019 – I’m 62 here

Busy. Busy. BUSY!

That’s what I’ll be very soon.

I have ended my time as a Tarot card consultant and I’m not making more of that type of video for YouTube or anywhere else.  Instead, I’m about to jump in head first to my FBTV channel – and that is very exciting!

How I’ll publish.

There will be two or three videos added this week to my FBTV YouTube channel, with one dedicated to that Facebook page as well.  By the end of March, I’ll be making daily videos that will either be published on YouTube or Facebook.  A lot of the “where” answer will depend on viewer feedback.

Keeping it easy.

I’m not going in for the fanfare or the staged videos.  No thanks.  My videos will be more casual, with a wide range of subjects in typical talk-show style.

I will, however, have a few points that I plan to cover that are unique. I’m an autism mom, and I want to show the world what it’s like to live with a severely autistic son, and tell everyone what my world has been like for the past two decades, and how it’s likely to be in the future.  So I guess I’m a bit out of the norm.

Beauty and all that.

Skin care will a big topic for me, and my emphasis will be on the topical-systemic approach, so that covers quite a bit of subject territory.

I’ll be adding what I call my “how this stuff works” videos, also known as product reviews, on a weekly basis or more often.

Fitness and all that.

I have a lot of education in both fitness and nutrition and my 20+ years homeschooling my son includes using homeopathic protocol, dietary intervention and use of nutraceuticals, including CBD, which all can be used for anyone looking to stay healthier.

I’ve kept my body in the same shape as it was in my teens and that comes with a price – namely dedication.  It’s not about “drill and hate-it” stuff, either.  I eat well, drink wine and enjoy vodka on the rocks.  I eat out in restaurants fairly often – several times per month or so – and live in an area that’s a popular tourist destination so between that and growing up in the Northeast U.S., I have an excellent knowledge of many types of foods, and how to eat well without going crazy in most any type of restaurant.

Age as an issue.

It shouldn’t be but it definitely is in our society.  Granted, that in some areas of the world a woman’s age is considered to be an asset rather than a problem, but, it’s a sad fact that too many people out there look down on the “woman of a certain age”  – whatever the !#?* that means.

I plan to do my part in dispelling the myths, and I have plenty of ammunition to fight the war against ageism.  From my own lifestyle, to many examples of women our time who are beyond 40, 50, 50, 70 and even 80, and doing what may once have been called “impossible” for a woman of that age. Ha! They are making the naysayers look bad, let me tell you!

Looking forward to this.

I think it’s what I was born to do – besides being an autism mom as well as a “normal” mom – and it is already feeling like it’s a natural part of my life.  I like that.

Take care all – see you soon!
